The 19th annual World Barista Championship begins on Wednesday at 9:15 AM CEST in Amsterdam, at RAI Center. Over a two day preliminary round, 55 top baristas from all over the globe will compete live on stage—and wherever you are in the world, you can catch each of the performances yourself right here on worldbaristachampionship.org—just click the Livestream link at the top of the main WBC page, and join coffee fans from over 120 countries tuning in, 9:15 AM to 4:00PM CEST.
Periodically during the preliminary round, scoreboards around the WBC stage and embedded into the online WBC portal will be updated with the current top competitors’ rankings. In Amsterdam, the top 15 scoring competitors from the preliminary round will advance to semi-finals, along with the highest scoring member of the winning team, in a ‘wildcard’ slot. The winning WBC Team will be announced along with the 16 semi-finalists at 5:30 PM on Thursday 21st June.
