Please tell us a little bit about yourself:

You might think, I will start talking about coffee; that’s not true! Although I am a passionate coffee lover and excited to serve customers my big love is fishing. I love spending time at the sea, it inspires me with fascinating views and relaxing feelings. I strongly reccomend spending time at the sea to everyone.

What are you excited to do while you are in Seoul?:

I am planning to explore Seoul as much as I can; meeting new people, finding out more about their customs and traditions, exploring new places, understanding their day to day life, and to live like a local.

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

Hellenic Brewers Cup 2015 , Greece – 1st Place
World’s Brewers Cup 2015, Sweden – 2nd Place
Hellenic Barista Championsip 2017, Greece- 1st Place

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WBC?:

I am gonna start with the obvious, but a huge thanks is necessary to my mentor, Stefanos Domatiotis, who inspired me and taught me so many things about coffee and more. A big thank you to the Ninety Plus team and especially Joseph Brodsky, for the amazing coffees, and the trust, and love they showed me. To Yannis Taloumis, for his great vision to change the coffee mentality. One special mention to Jason and Chad Wang, who helped me, and supported me when I needed. Last, but not least, to my team mates in Taf, who have supported me so much for all these years.

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:

The coffee market is fast paced, with constant evolution. Coffee quality, processing, farming and roasting will change dramatically but the most significant change will come to consumer’s beaviors. Consumers are not passive anymore, they know what they are drinking, what they want, and they are seeking for more. Higher quality, nice coffee shops, great customer service, and coffee advice, etc.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:

I want to add a bit more travelling to my calendar for the next 5 years. I want to meet the guys who are behind these precious coffees—farmers, and to live with them and learn from them. I want to travel, to broaden my horizons not only about coffee but about life in general.

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

As I mentioned I love fishing, swimming, water sports, and everything that has to do with the sea. I love music and traveling!
