Please tell us a little bit about yourself:

I live in Mikulov and run my own shop called MONOGRAM Espresso Bar in Brno. I enjoy meeting a wide range of professions and people that coffee brings to me.

What are you excited to do while you are in Amsterdam?:

I’m looking forward to visiting one very famous chocolate cookie shop.

2018 Czech National Barista Competition- 1st Place

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WBC?:

I would like to thank my wife and people around me, that helped me to get here. Big thanks goes to the Has Bean Coffee family, who are always by my side.

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:

I hope it would continue with connecting the parts of the coffee circle. More baristas are curious about the farms, about the exports and imports. They are not only obsessed by the bean.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:

I would love to go to origin and work more with people interested in coffee, especially from the customer service side.

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

Wine, music, art.
