Colombia
Diego Campos
Amor Perfecto (Vive Cafe)

Please tell us a little bit about yourself:

My name is Diego Campos from Colombia. I’ve been working in the coffee industry since 2008 and since that time I think coffee is the best thing that has happened to me, because I found a career, job, and I can do what I really love to do .

What are you excited to do while you are in Seoul?:

To learn about where is the coffee industry going to and also get so much knowledge to share with baristas, and farmers in my country.

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

Colombia National Competition 2009 (2nd Place)
Colombia National Competition 2010 (7th Place)
Colombia National Competition 2011 (4th Place)
Colombia National Competition 2012 (3rd Place)
Colombia National Competition 2014 (1st Place)
Colombia National Competition 2015 (3rd Place)
Word Barista Championship 2015 (14th Place)
Colombia National Competition 2016 (1st Place)

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WBC?:

Firts of all I would like to thank everyone at Finca Tamana—the farmer, the pickers, and also everyone who have supported me since I started as a barista.

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:

I think it is going to change a lot because the baristas have a better relationship with farmers, and also the farmers are getting more information about and experience with coffee.
